Frozen Statue, Miika Järvinen

Striking photo of a frozen statue by Miika Järvinen

Sleet drops in buckets
I forgot my umbrella
Must I go outside?
A hooded man sits content
On the street sipping hot tea

  1. This is one of the reasons I love outdoor sculpture – the interaction with the weather and particularly ice and snow. This is a fabulous photo and shows what a really good portrait sculpture it is. I keep expecting him to blink.

  2. Reblogged this on GRCHealthcare and commented:
    Glad I’m inside….

I can’t tell you how much I love this photo. Makes me want to go get on rubber boots and go fishing. Your posts are so poetic; I’m so glad I stumbled upon your blog.

    • I couldn’t take my eyes of this photo at first, I kept waiting for him to shake off the frost that was barely sticking on. Thank you so much, I’m glad you enjoy my writing 🙂 All the best!
